Travel Guide Orlando – What is the Best Time to Visit Orlando Florida?
Planning a visit to Florida and need an Orlando travel guide? Orlando is an awesome city, you’ve made a great choice to plan your vacation here. But what is the best time to visit Orlando Florida?
Well I’ll tell you the worst time first – summer! Yes, the kids are out of school and all that, so it’s convenient, but honestly it’s just going to be miserable.
If you’re staying inside in the air conditioning most of the day or spending all day at the pool it won’t be too bad, or if you plan to only do outside activities early in the morning or late in the evening, it’s tolerable, but how many people plan their holidays like this? No, what you will do is start your day early and then arrive at the theme park and swelter for the whole day, wondering why in the world you left your cool and nicely air-conditioned office building to take a vacation to Orlando in the middle of summer.
So unless you absolutely have to, or unless you are going to be staying at the beach (if so you won’t be in Orlando), then you will want to plan your vacation, if possible, sometime other than the summer. It’s simply too hot. And I’ve lived here since 1971 so I am quite used to the weather. It’s still too hot though.
Fine, so when does it get nice? Well I would say you can be a little less hot in September but the nice weather doesn’t really start until October. And the really really nice weather doesn’t start till October/November. But you are safe from October through around March or April, although toward the end of that time the temperatures do start creeping up.
Lines in the theme parks are long and annoying any time, but much more so if you are sweating to death. So don’t even bother consulting a travel guide, Orlando is best if you avoid the summer no matter what any of them say.
