Shows in Orlando Florida – How is the Food at Medieval Times?

How is the food at Medieval Times? I saw this question asked on a forum and I feel very qualified to answer since I’ve been going to Medieval Times since my son was 12 years old and he just turned 21. No joke!

Every year without fail we make the trek and pay the outrageous prices. But we do enjoy it so it’s worthwhile. And if you go in the month of your birthday you get in free. I don’t think they advertise that as heavily as they used to but if you call and speak to someone (as opposed to getting your tickets online) you can ask for the free birthday offer and they’ll do that for you. The last time we went they didn’t even ask him for proof of his birthday, but they normally do.

So anyway, as far as shows in Orlando Florida I have to again point out that this show is not actually located in Orlando. It’s funny that a lot of places that are credited with being in Orlando are not really here. In fact they’re not even that close, but they are considered Orlando. This show is actually in Kissimmee. Not exactly right in the backyard of Orlando but not too bad really. It’s a touristy place though so beware of all the shops offering to sell you 10 shirts for 10 dollars or something like that. Also a lot of stores selling sea shells.

Now, on to the food. I personally really love the food there. I would balk at going so many times if I didn’t really truly enjoy the food. I’ve heard people say it’s not good but I have no idea why anyone would think so. The menu is vegetable soup or I think they changed that to some sort of tomato soup, but it’s quite tasty. Garlic bread is brought out next, also good. Then the roasted chicken which has always been very good, moist, tender, and flavorful. You get half a chicken. After that they come by with a spare rib or two, a herb roasted potato (this is the one thing I’m not too fond of), and an apple pastry (really good). You also get soda or beer, and then coffee after the meal if you wish. I can’t say too much for the coffee, it tastes like airplane coffee to me. But all in all, I always enjoy the meal there.

And the show is always fun. So if you’re on the fence about going, just jump over and take a trip out to Medieval Times in Orlando Florida. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
