Orlando Vacations – How to Save Money on an Orlando Vacation

You don’t have to take out a second mortgage for your Orlando vacations. Yes it is possible to save money on an Orlando vacation, but you need to do some research before you go.

I spoke about timeshares already and how much I hate them but again, you can use this option to get a discount. Some of them require that you be married and that both parties be present. But ugh, I really don’t like this option and I don’t recommend it for anyone.

I really like gettting copies of the local newspaper and local area magazines sent to me when I’m heading to a city for vacation. I see discounted offers all the time in the Orlando Sentinel, especially Friday’s Calendar section, so definitely get a copy of a Friday paper.

You could also pick up one of the Entertainment coupon books online, there is one available for Orlando. I had one a few years ago that had absolutely awesome discounts. There were tons of free dinners, buy one get one free, all sorts of great discounts. The one I got last year was not as good but still had a lot of smaller discounts. Just not as many free dinners.

Disney World discounts are really not available except through AAA or as an annual pass or Florida resident discount.

Travel agencies can sometimes help you find some good deals. They will do a lot of the work for you and have many brochures and experience with finding some great discounts and deals on your Orlando vacations. Check with them and see if there are any good deals for any of the hotels at Disney if that interests you. It’s so much fun staying on the Disney site, and you can take advantage of their many modes of transportation and possibly forego renting a car. That would save you some money right there.

You can also go to the hotel websites and see if they are offering any deals or incentives. Or give them a call. I have found that they don’t always advertise their specials online, so if you call you may be pleasantly surprised.
