MiMi’s Cafe in Winter Garden

Today I met my mom for lunch at Mimi’s Cafe in Winter Garden. We’ve been there many times but not lately for some reason. My mom lives in Clermont so I drive over that way often.

When I got to Mimi’s I noticed Longhorn Steakhouse was right next to it and I almost suggested we go there instead. Nothing against Mimi’s, but I always enjoy Longhorn’s.

Anyway, we did have a nice lunch. I got the lunch roast beef and mom had some sort of quiche which she really loved. To me the food there is average but the atmosphere is great. The booths are roomy and comfortable, and there are all kinds of interesting things to look at on the walls and set around here and there. Pleasant waitstaff also. I did not order coffee (which I usually do) because I had just had a cup at home, so I can’t comment on how their coffee is. I have had it before and it obviously did not make an impression on me one way or the other. I did notice they had an espresso menu and had lattes and things so if I was there with friends who like to dawdle I would have ordered a mocha.

So, I’d give Mimi’s thumbs up because I’ve always had a pleasant experience there. There is nothing really to complain about.
