How to Eat Cheap – Finding Restaurant Coupons Part 2
I felt this subject deserved another post since a lot of people are trying to think of ways to cut back and are looking for good ideas on how to eat cheap, whether that is through restaurant coupons or other types of savings.
Just about everyone is feeling the pinch these days, myself included. But there are ways to save money and I’ll go over a few more ideas here.
You probably get a lot of junk mail, and I bet you just toss most of it in the trash. Take the time to go through it a bit more carefully. Just set it aside and then when you have a spare moment take a closer look through it all. Chances are you have some restaurant coupons and other hidden gems lurking in that pile of mail. You will often find other coupons in there that could save you some money on things like haircuts, car repairs or oil changes, and even prescription eyeglasses. You just never know what you’ll find in that pile of junk mail. Well, a lot of worthless advertisements, sure, but be sure to look through it before you toss it all out en masse.
Now, most of you reading this are going to be computer savvy folks so I’m sure you have already thought of this, but just in case – don’t forget to search online for restaurant coupons in your area. Just go into one of the search engines like Google or Yahoo and type in the name of the restaurant and the word coupons or discount. By doing that you may find an actual coupon or you may find a discussion group where they are talking about how to eat cheap somewhere.
Speaking of discussion groups, or forums, that is another great option. Go again to the search engine and this time type in your city (or closest large city) plus the word “forum” or “group.” I have found a wealth of information on sites such as this. They can be very helpful in giving you some great new ideas on how you can eat cheap but still enjoy going out to dinner.
