Downtown Orlando Florida – What are Some Good Lunch Places in Downtown Orlando?

If you plan to be in downtown Orlando Florida around lunchtime, what are some good places to eat?

Doc’s Restaurant is great if you are not looking for a casual coffee shop type place. They boast a world-renowned chef with a full-service bar and restaurant. Winner of the Orlando Sentinel 2005 Foodie Award and critic’s choice for best power lunch. There are a variety of salads and sandwiches on the lunch menu such as turkey press, grilled chicken, mojo cuban, crab cake, vegetable panini, and a steak burger made of black angus beef. Appetizers include shrimp martini, Cuban flatbread, ahi tuna, among others. Doesn’t seem too terribly expensive but more than your average diner lunch.

Champ’s Deli in Downtown Orlando Florida is another great place for lunch. It’s basically just a little sandwich shop with daily specials such as ham and cheese, cheese steak, turkey and cheese, roast beef, and barbecue pork to name a few. Great little place for a quick lunch located on Central Blvd.

Try the Wall Street Cantina for affordable Tex-Mex. They feature a happy hour and live music. Their margaritas are said to be the best in town but you can be the judge of that.

Right in the heart of downtown you’ll find Gino’s Pizza. The place is small but many give it rave reviews for the pizza. If you happen to be in the area and are walking by and in the mood for a piece of pizza, give it a try. I wouldn’t plan my day around it.

Brick and Fire Pizza and Wine Co offers Chicago-style deep dish pizzas cooked in a brick oven. You can stop in for a simple slice of pizza or plan to stay for a nice dinner. Located at 116 West Church Street.

Well that’s just a drop in the bucket, I’ll address more of the downtown Orlando Florida lunch spots again.
