Cirque du Soleil Orlando Florida – Should I Go and See La Nouba?

What a crazy question! If you are vacationing in Orlando then Cirque du Soleil Orlando Florida is NOT to be missed! Really, don’t fail to see it.

It’s difficult to describe a Cirque du Soleil show to people. No matter how you describe it, if they haven’t seen one of the shows for themselves, you can really never accurately convey the beauty and amazing talent and freakishness (but in a good way) of these shows. The first one I ever saw was Mystere in Las Vegas, I think it was about 10 years ago. Since then we have been back many times and I’ve seen Mystere again every visit except once, and that was only because my friends didn’t have time to go. I’ve also seen “O” in Vegas which is pretty spectacular as well.

So I was really excited when I first heard that Cirque du Soleil would be coming to Orlando Florida in the form of La Nouba. Of course I went to see it immediately and it did not disappoint. And like I said, so hard to describe. The name of the show, La Nouba, originates from the French phrase “faire la nouba,” which means to party, to live it up. From the website they describe the show as featuring two groups of characters, the Cirques (circus people), and the Urbains (urbanites), who clash throughout the show. This show, like all Cirque du Soleil shows, features circus-like performances of amazingly talented acrobats, dancers, gymnasts, clowns, and other very skilled performers.

There is always a live orchestra at every Cirque performance, and this is part of the show’s charm. You will want to buy the soundtrack after visiting. The La Nouba shop has some really nice souvenirs.

Another great thing is that no matter where you sit in the theater you should be able to see very well as there is always something going on in all different parts of the theater. It’s almost an over-intoxication of the senses, it’s really that good. You will walk away amazed and enchanted, and chances are good you’ll want to go back and see it again. That’s what always happens to me.

So should you go and see Cirque du Soleil in Orlando Florida! Absolutely.
