A Walk Around Mount Dora
A while back I was shopping in Mount Dora for a friend’s birthday gift and I took some pictures which I planned to post on here, but I never got around to it. So here are some photos I took of a few different areas.
Here is Piglet’s Pantry which is a really cool little dog bakery store. They have quite a lot of neat stuff for dogs and it is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. I never pass up a chance to go in and see what all they have. Not only bakery items but nice coffee mugs with dog breeds, collars, leashes, cool door mats with funny slogans, and eleventy billion other dog-related items. So check them out if you head to Mount Dora anytime soon. Maybe for one of the festivals.
Another place I found that I really liked was Noni Home and Bath. I was searching for a gift for a friend of mine who is really hard to buy for because she has EVERYTHING. She goes out and buys whatever she needs or wants. Plus she is really picky! I love her of course, but she is just really hard to shop for. You have to go find unique things that you wouldn’t see in just any old mall or shop. So I figured what better place to find unique and unusual gifts than the quaint shops of Mount Dora. Anyway, Noni had some amazing things. Lots of artwork, sculptures, vases, and really beautiful work from many different artists from all over. It really was not the type of store I expected based on the name but I loved it. I took several pictures. I ended up getting my friend a really nice vase, and I’m going back to do some Christmas shopping there later this year.
I passed by the Village Coffee Pot which looked interesting but I didn’t stop in. Next time I am in the area I plan to check out their coffee. I am still on a quest to find at least one place in all of Central Florida that has really good coffee. I have yet to find it, but I will continue. My house is the only place you can get good coffee as of right now. Although I do enjoy the Cafe Mocha they have at the cafe in Books A Million. But that is because the coffee or espresso that they use is hidden under all the chocolate. So it’s pretty good.
